Coast cruises to 6-3 win over Hornets
FULLERTON -- The Orange Coast College women's tennis team won its second straight conference match and fourth overall match in five contests with a 6-3 win over host Fullerton College on Thursday afternoon.
OCC (4-1, 2-0 in Orange Empire Conference) lost its first two singles matches, but responded with wins in the other four matchups, led by Hayle Moss (6-1, 6-1), Nory Call (6-0, 6-3), Nicole Pham (6-1, 6-0) and Remi Sutton (6-1, 6-0).
In doubles, Call teamed up with Krystal Hernandez and blanked the Hornets, 8-0, while the team of Pham and Sutton edged out an 8-6 win.
OCC will return to action on Tuesday at home against Cypress, beginning at 2 p.m.
