Pirates doubled-up by Comets, 6-3
COSTA MESA -- The Orange Coast College women's tennis team came up short against visiting Palomar, losing to the Comets, 6-3, on Thursday in a nonconference matchup.
In singles play, Nory Call picked up the lone victory for the Pirates (1-1), winning in straight sets, 6-1, 6-2.
In doubles action, the team of Madelyn Koehly and Krystal Hernandez posted an 8-5 win, while teammates Remi Sutton and Nicole Pham prevailed, 8-2.
Up next for the Pirates will be on Tuesday, Feb. 28 at home against Saddleback, beginning at 2 p.m.
