Pirates can't tame Tigers, 7-2
COSTA MESA -- In a battle between two of the top teams in the Orange Empire Conference, the Orange Coast College women's tennis team lost to first-place Riverside City College on Tuesday, 7-2.
Nicole Pham picked up the lone singles win for Coast (8-4 overall, 6-2 in conference), posting a 5-7, 6-2, 6-4 win.
In doubles play, the team of Madelyn Koehly and Nory Call edged out their RCC opponents by the score of 9-8.
OCC will return to action on Thursday at home against Irvine Valley, beginning at 2 p.m.
