Pirates make quick work of Knights
SAN DIEGO -- The Orange Coast College men's volleyball team carried a week's worth of momentum from its five-game win at Golden West and carried it over for a three-game sweep at San Diego City College on Friday evening.
Dillon Emery had 16 kills to lead the Pirates past the Knights, 25-16, 25-17, 25-22. Chris Van Vuuren added eight kills, while Sam Jergens chipped in six for OCC (7-4, 4-1 in Pacific Coast Conference). Michael Ensign dished out 34 assists.
The Pirates will return to action on Wednesday at home against Palomar, beginning at 6 p.m.
