Pirate golfers remain unbeaten
EL CAJON -- The scores remained low for the Orange Coast College women's golf team as the Pirates again topped the field at Wednesday's Orange Empire Conference event at Cottonwood Golf Club.
With FOUR Pirate golfers shooting in the 70s, Coast scored a team-low score of 303, 15 shots ahead of Mt. San Antonio College, while Fullerton (435) took third. Cuyamaca and College of the Desert could not post team scores.
Sophie Thibodeau led the way for Coast, shooting a 1-over-par 73, just one shot short of the low-score of the day, posted by Mt. SAC's Kaitlyn Wang, who carded an even-par, 72.
Michelle Khin was two off of Thibodeau's score with a 75, with, Nalani Sam (77), Sophia Ingle, (78), Lilly Thurston (84) and Audrey Crinella (87) each went low for the Pirates.
Coast (12-0) will return to OEC action on Wednesday at the El Prado -- Butterfield course, beginning at 10 a.m.
