Pirates continue strong play with runner-up at Ironwood
PALM DESERT -- Another strong runner-up Orange Empire Conference finish for the Orange Coast College women's golf team as the Pirates card a team score of 327 on Wednesday at Ironwood Golf Club.
Mt. San Antonio took the top spot with a 316, with Cuyamaca taking third at 338, followed by Fullerton (422) and Mt. San Jacinto (443).
Jeanie Tahvildari led the way for the Pirates, shooting a six-over-par, 78, with teammate Moe Pyae Sone Khin one shot behind with a 79.
Fellow Pirates, Delylah Collins and Sophia Tipton each carded a pair of 85s, followed by Lillian Thurston (97) and Taylor Tuxford (104).
OCC and the rest of the conference will head to Chino Creek Golf Club for their next OEC matchup, set for Monday at 10 a.m.
