Pirates blanked by Wolverines, 2-0
SAN BERNARDINO -- A goal early and a goal late was too much to overcome for the Orange Coast College men's soccer team as the Pirates fell to San Bernardino Valley College, 2-0, on Wednesday at SBVC.
Juan Nuno scored for the Wolverines in the eighth minute and it remained that way until the 75th minute, when Kevin Real buried a penalty kick opportunity for SBVC (6-1-2).
OCC (3-2) put together 10 shots on goal, but could not find the back of the net as Daniel Anguelo stopped them all for the Wolverines.
Pirate goalkeeper Tyler Folkins notched six saves.
Coast returns to action on Friday at 1 p.m. against Glendale at the OCC Soccer Complex. The women's team will wrap up the home doubleheader and play at 3 p.m. against Golden West.
