Pirate women capture OEC Swim/Dive crown!
MISSION VIEJO -- It was a two-team race for the top spot at this year's Orange Empire Conference Swim/Dive Championships and for the Orange Coast College women's swim/dive team, the Pirates finished on top of the field.
The Pirate women outlasted runner-up Riverside City College for the top spot with 944 total points, just ahead of the second-place Tigers (896 points) and well ahead of third-place Cypress College (302). Golden West took fourth with 285 points, followed by Saddleback (199) and Fullerton (186).
Coast earned first place in 16 different events, including three relay events and two diving events.

Up next for Coast will be the 3C2A Swimming/Diving State Championships, which will take place at Santa Rosa Junior College, May 1-3.
