Coast takes second at OCC Invitational
COSTA MESA -- The Orange Coast College women's swim/dive team captured second place overall at the OCC Invitational on Friday at the OCC Aquatics Pavilion.
The Pirates trailed only Santa Barbara City College (756) with 615 points, followed by Palomar (345), Santa Monica (33), Grossmont (279), San Diego Mesa (240), Golden West (198) and Southwestern (37).
Madeline Kwok picked up a pair of first-place marks, taking the gold in 1-meter diving (198.80) and 3-meter diving (216.60).
Coast also earned a first-place time in the 400 medley relay with a winning time of 4:29.84.

OCC's divers will next compete at the SoCal Diving Championships on Friday and Saturday at Long Beach City College, beginning at 9 a.m. Up next for the rest of the squad will be the Orange Empire Conference championship, hosted by Saddleback College, on April 17-19.
