Top-10 finish for Pirates at SD Mesa Invitational
SAN DIEGO -- The Orange Coast College men's cross country team finished 10th overall with 294 points on Friday at the 2025 Southern California Regional Preview Meet, hosted by San Diego Mesa College at Liberty Station.
Mt. San Antonio took the top spot in the 23-team event with 60 points, followed by Cerritos (64) and Riverside (97).
Among the 196 runners in the race, OCC's top runner was Bernie Enriquez, who conquered the four-mile course in 21st place with a time of 21 minutes, 19.4 seconds. Bill Dang was OCC's next top finisher, placing 31st overall with a time of 21.45.7.
Other top Pirate times were turned in by Cayden Reish (22:12), Nathan Garcia (23:11.1), Peter Cao (23:18.6), Jason Cifuentes (23:21.8) and JC Overpeck (25:05.5).
Coast will return to action on Friday, Sept. 24 at the Cal State Fullerton Invitational, which kicks off at 5 p.m.
