M-SOCCER: Four Pirates earn All-OEC honors
COSTA MESA -- Four members of the Orange Coast College men's soccer team earned All-Orange Empire Conference honors for their outstanding play during the 2016 season.
Sophomores Taylor Kane and Marco Pineda were each named to the OEC's first-team -- as voted on by the conference's head coaches -- while freshman Cristian Montillo and sophomore Alix Morse earned second-team honors.
Kane, led the Pirates with 19 points (five goals, nine assists) and was a solid two-way player for OCC.
Pineda, who was a strong defensive midfielder for OCC, notched a pair of goals on offense as well.
Montillo (two assists) and Morse helped anchor a Pirate defense that held the opposition to just 22 conference goals in 14 contests (1.69 goals allowed per game).
