Bio
Leading the ship since bringing the program back to life in 2015 is OCC head coach Sean Collins, who has called OCC home since 2005 with the men's golf program.
Since rebuilding the program over a decade ago, the OCC women's golf program has been on a steady incline of success as Collins has led individuals and teams all the way to the State Championshp Finals year in and year out.
Collins has taken his women's team back to the state finals twice over the past few years, earning a fourth-place state finish in 2022 and again in 2025.
In addition to his work at OCC, Collins has worked at the Costa Mesa Country Club for over 30 years.
Collins began his career at CMCC working as the golf course service marshal. From there, he was promoted to shop assistant and then tournament director after becoming a member of the PGA of America in 2003.
Sean played in the state finals with the Long Beach City College men's golf team. After his stint at LBCC, Collins earned a golf scholarship to Cal State Dominguez Hills, where he earned his bachelor's degree.
Collins qualified for the U.S. Open Sectionals in 2001 and currently holds the course record on the Mesa Linda Course at CMCC with a 58.
In addition to his coaching time, Collins is also the director of the Costa Mesa Country Club Junior Golf Program.
Collins and his wife, Christina, live in Irvine with their two sons, Jacob and Brennan.
