  • Title:
    Assistant Coach -- Offensive Line

Bio

With a solid resume as a football coach, Frank Albers comes to OCC for his first season as an assistant coach, helping out with the team's offensive line.

Following a long tenure on the Costa Mesa HS coaching staff, Albers moved to coach the offensive line at Calvary Chapel HS, helping them to a 5-0 league record and first ever Orange Coast League Championship.

In 2009 Albers began coaching at the Men In The Trenches (MITT) Lineman Camp with former 49er great Jesse Sapolu. Over the last eight years, Albers watched Sapolu grow the camp to over 100 lineman a week showing up to work solely on technique training and he has been fortunate to help coach over 100 lineman who have received Division I football scholarships.

After a prep career at Ocean View High School was cut short following a knee injury, Albers became a franchisee for Domino's Pizza in the Bay Area. After relocating back to Southern California, Albers went to work for ICN Pharmaceuticals and began coaching high school football.

Albers has three children -- Lauren 28, Andrew 23 (who played for OCC before finishing his collegiate football career at The University of Utah) and Tori 17.
