WHAT: 50th Anniversary Celebration of OCC's 1963 National Championship Team
WHEN: Saturday, Sept. 21, 6 p.m. (Halftime of OCC's football game vs. Long Beach City)

Orange Coast College will honor several members from the Pirates' first-ever football National Championship team during halftime of the Pirates' game against Long Beach City College. Members of the 1963 team will be treated to a reception on the patio of the Fitness Complex before the game, before being recognized at halftime. The 1963 team took on all comers and finished the season 10-0, including a 21-0 win over Northeast Oklahoma A&M in the Junior Rose Bowl in front of 44,044 fans.
